Solid Food Vacation / Juice fast (feast)

Benefits or “the WHY”

    • Weight loss

    • Remove junk from the trunk (avg. 12-15​​ meals)

    • Heal diseases, pull waste matter from each cell

    • Changes the ionic pressure in our colon

    • Get new reference about how to be healthy

    • Gives the body what it really needs​​ ​​ solid food vacation

Basic rules

    • Don’t mix​​ fruits and vegetables​​ 

      • Basically outdated​​ ​​ if it works for you, ignore it

      • Leafy greens are universal combiners

    • Strain the juice

      • Not necessary all the time

      • Make a point: strain all the juice and still see what comes out of you after n days

    • Chew the juices

      • At least “chew” (swirl around in your mouth) the very first sips so that your body knows what is coming (applies for smoothies as well)

    • How much to drink

      • Track/document in app and/or sheet of paper daily

        • What goes in: cronometer suggested

        • What goes out

        • Weight (each day same time: morning)

        • How you feel, anything else you want to note

      • Calculate your BMR and consider activity level

        • Woman about 1200 kcal

        • Men about 1700 kcal

      • A gallon a day as rule of thumb (half vegetables – half fruit)

      • If you are active two gallons a day

      • Don’t be afraid of drinking too much but of drinking too less

      • If you drink too less you might lose lean body mass

      • The more juice you drink the more weight you loose

      • The high weight loss is save because what you lose is waste matter

    • Don’t stand​​ up too quickly – you might be light headed

Supplements

    • As few as possible, don’t get too dependent

    • Vitamin D​​ 

      • Everyone should take this ! (if not living in the tropics exposed to the sun all day)

      • combine with K2/magnesium for better bioavailability

      • <duration of juice fast> : 4 = <duration breaking the fast> : 2 = <groups within duration of breaking the fast>

      • Sample: 24 days of juice fast : 4 = 6 days : 2 = 3 groups

        • Group 1: one meal / day + juices

        • Group​​ 2: two fruit meals / day + juices

        • Group 3: three meals / day + juices

        • The additional juices are required to reach your required calories each day

    • Six days will break about any fast

      • Day 1 – one meal a day (prunes) + juices

      • Day 3/4 – two meals of juice fruits + juices

      • Day 5/6 – include a (simple) salad (+ juices)

    • Test your system after a juice fast (e.g. eat bananas for 2-3 days and test them out for allergies etc.)
